This project is located at the UFC Performance Institute (UFC PI) in Las Vegas, USA, a world-leading mixed martial arts training and research center. As an industry benchmark, UFC PI sets extremely high standards for venue design and training equipment: it must meet the high-intensity training needs of professional athletes while also accommodating the club’s multifunctionality and flexibility.
【SEEDOO】 was commissioned to provide a comprehensive solution for the combat training area. Based on the client’s needs and the venue’s spatial structure, we designed a dedicated track sandbag system, ensuring stable support and flexible adaptation to diverse training needs.
During the design phase, the SEEDOO team customized a top-mounted steel frame system based on the club’s structural requirements and training needs, providing safe and stable load-bearing support. -The O-shaped track structure allows for flexible sliding of sandbags for easy deployment and storage. A diverse sandbag mix allows for a variety of sandbag types to meet the needs of both group and individual training. Flexible space conversion allows for open-ended activities such as mixed martial arts and physical training when folded, while expanding to support large-scale group sandbag classes. This design not only balances professionalism and functionality, but also significantly enhances the club’s efficiency and overall aesthetic.
Upon completion, the fighting area achieved both visual and functional perfection.
The neatly arranged black sandbags beneath the track system create a striking contrast with the red training mats, embodying the power and passion of the UFC while also highlighting the professionalism and efficiency of the space. Athletes can complete a variety of training methods in a comfortable and safe environment, while a flexible storage system enhances the openness and practicality of the space. This is more than just a training venue; it embodies the scientific and systematic training philosophy of fighting.
